Composition Rules and Tips to Improve Your Photos
Here are some simple rules and tips to help improve your photos!
One rules is to consider the rule of thirds. The rule of thirds can be seen in the picture of the class ring. The ring is on the right side of the page. consider the rules of thirds by sectioning off the picture into 9 segments. 3 lines vertically and 3 lines going horizontally.
Another rule is to crop the picture. to make the picture look even better crop out some of the unimportant aspects of it, like if there is a person in the background that distracts the viewer from the most important aspect of the photo.
Focusing is also very important when it come to how the final photo looks. An example of using focusing to your advantage is the one with grass and a building in the back. the grass in the very front is blurry, however the grass further back is in focus. Thus making the picture look amazing.
If you want to know how I achieved the overall look for these pictures fret not for here is how! To make an object look like its falling use the dutch angle. Just tilt the camera slightly and there you go! Birds eye and worms eye can make things look big and small. To get the birds eye view, stand on a chair or a table and capture a picture. Or you can be more daring, just be safe! And the worms eye is where you, the photographer, gets on the ground and capture a picture. Finally the monochromatic look. Just simply take a picture and edit it to where its black and white for the dramatic effect!
